Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino Las Vegas

Vegas Best Hotels

The Rio All-Suites Hotel is located a block away from the Vegas Strip, right behind Caesar's Palace. This can be a bonus as each hotel room scores a stunning view of the strip. However, if you plan on spending time on the Strip, getting there can be a hassle. If you choose to walk, the trek can take 15 minutes as you make your way through the huge Caesar's property, something you may not be willing to do if the temperatures are boiling hot. The Rio does provide free shuttle service to their partner hotels. If you don't mind being on a shuttle schedule, the service is efficient.

The size of the hotel rooms are where the Rio beats all other hotels in the area. Even the least expensive rooms offer over 600 square feet of space. They all have a separate living area featuring a fridge, table and sofa. The sofa's are pull outs to provide extra sleeping for two people. You can even keep up on your news by watching television in your bathroom.

The rooms themselves can be hit or miss. The Masquerade Tower has yet to go through the Rio's extensive renovations. The rooms in this tower can seem quite dated with worn out carpets and dated decor. When booking request to stay in the Ipanema tower to get the newer rooms if available.

If you like to bask in the sun and enjoy time at the pool, the Rio will not disappoint. Their pool area is one of the best in Vegas. Called Voodoo Beach, it features real sand beaches, waterfalls, four swimming pools and five Jacuzzi-style spas. You can even get a poolside massage here. There is also a 21 plus pool area that has a DJ and go-go dancers.

The Rio offers several dining choices, so finding something for everyone is never a problem. Most notably is The Carnival World Buffet that is one of the best buffets in Vagas, featuring over 300 dishes from around the globe. On Saturdays and Sundays the buffet hosts a champagne brunch, but if you really want to experience the buffets greatness lunch and dinner is the time to go.

The casino is spacious with over 1500 slot machines and several table games including favorites Blackjack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Roulette and Craps among others. They also have a Keno parlor and Sports Book.

Shows at the Rio feature Penn and Teller, Chippendales and Masquerade Show in the Sky. The Masquerade Show in the sky is performed every hour and is free. It really is an amazing show that you should catch while staying at the Rio.

Of course Vegas wouldn't be Vegas without its wide choice of poshy nightclubs. Rio has one of the better ones in town. Voodoo Rooftop Nightclub gives you a chance to party high above Vegas on the 51st floor of the Rio. Among great drinks, music and dancing it has the best view in town in this indoor-outdoor roof top nightclub.

Overall, the Rio is a great hotel choice in Vegas. Though not on the strip, the hotel itself has so much going on, you may never need to go anywhere else.
